What do you want your divorce to look like?
Think about it for a minute… if you had a choice, what would you want your divorce to look like? Do you want it to be filled with constant arguing, court hearings, fights at the children's exchanges, and general negativity? Or would you prefer to transition to your new life with a minimum of fighting, with a negotiated settlement and with respect? If you have children, would you want a plan for co-parenting your children cooperatively?
Divorce does not have to mean fighting. Sometimes there's no other choice than to settle a divorces in court, and we believe in being prepared to go to court if we have to, but we'd rather see your case settled outside of the courtroom when possible. We've spent plenty of time in court. We've also seen how much damage the fighting does to the family. If we can, we'd rather spare you the pain, frustration, and the expense of the drawn out courtroom battle.
We see trial as the last resort, not the first. However, we also know that a big part of getting results in family law matters is letting the other side know you are ready to go to court if that’s what it takes.
